News Associate, CNN
Savannah Behrmann is a News Associate for CNN, where she has spent the last year writing for digital, working with CNN’s Political Unit for the 2018 midterm elections, reporting from the Paul Manafort trial, and producing from Capitol Hill. Before that, Savannah interned with Northern Virginia Magazine, USA TODAY, C-SPAN, and CNN. Her internships gave her incredible opportunities, such as attending White House Press Briefings, covering President Trump’s Inauguration, and her op-ed, “Send ‘Fearless Girl’ on tour” made the front page of USA TODAY. She has also written for Teen Vogue. Savannah is a graduate of George Mason University, where she studied Communication with an emphasis in Political Communication and Journalism. Hailing originally from Nephi, Utah, Savannah fell in love with the opportunities that the DC Metro area has to offer. She was first introduced to Washington, DC when she attended the Washington Journalism and Media Conference in 2013 as a National Youth Correspondent. The following summer, Savannah was selected to return as an intern, and she served as a Junior Faculty Advisor in 2015, 2016 and 2017. She is excited to return in 2019 to give back to the conference that has given so much to her.
