Students experience the Conference in small groups led by Faculty Advisors who are experienced teachers in journalism and yearbook. Faculty Advisors guide students through the Conference and work closely with their student group throughout the week. They also guide students through role-playing exercises, putting them in the role of decision-makers as they discover the process of delivering the news.

The WJMC schedule is intense! It packs in the program speakers, site visits, simulations, and group discussions so that students get the most out of their time with us.
It is important for students to get the rest they need at night and be prompt and present during the day. The week is nonstop, but our alumni say it’s worth it!
