Jordan Coddington

JORDAN CODDINGTON

Junior Faculty Advisor

Jordan Coddington is a rising junior at West Virginia University. Jordan studies Communication and a double minor in Public Relations and Strategic Social Media with an emphasis is Social Media and Communication Technology. She is a member of the Undergraduate Communication Association and PRSSA at WVU. Jordan had the opportunity to become a social media contributor for the Stone House Restaurant and Inn during her freshman year and is currently doing freelance media work for companies that need to spruce up their media game in the Morgantown,WV area. She attended WJMC in 2015 and after attending knew she wanted to study media in college. In her free time, you can find her jamming to Taylor Swift and searching for the best mozzarella sticks.

Alex McKeown

Alex McKeown is a student in the Class of 2020 at Pierce High School in Pierce, Nebraska. He is a WJMC 2018 Alumnus. After High School, he plans on going to the east coast for college, and double majoring in Engineering and Journalism.

Janelle Ward

Janelle Ward is a senior attending Georgia Military College Preparatory School located in Milledgeville, Georgia. In school, she has participated in both marching and concert band since her freshman year and musical theatre since her sophomore year. She is also a member of many honor societies and her school’s chapter of the Chick-Fil-A Leader Academy. Janelle has recently been elected co-journal of her Student Leadership Organization. She is undecided about where she wishes to attend college, but she is positive that she will be majoring in journalism! Attending WJMC this past summer wAs easily the best decision she has ever made, and she is thrilled to see where what she has learned takes her in the future!

Myla Owens

Myla Owens lives in Westampton, NJ and is a junior at Rancocas Valley Regional High School, graduating in 2020. Her interests are reading and music, and she has been a volleyball player for seven years.
Mylad is looking forward to going to George Mason University and being on the Youth Advisory Board.

Ellie Davis

Ellie Davis is a member of the graduating class of 2019 at Homestead High School In Fort Wayne, IN. She plans to attend Ball State University in fall 2019 to pursue a double major in Digital Sports Productions and Telecommunications, with a minor in Spanish. Ellie was honored to be a part of the WJMC program in 2018, and she cannot wait to be a part of the Youth Advisory board to ensure that the 2019 students have just as great of time as she did!

Kyle Anderson

Kyle Anderson was born and raised in Austintown, Ohio. Throughout high school he has pursued many interests. He is Senior Drumline Captain in his school’s Marching Band, team captain of the Academic Team, and a state quarter finalist in Speech and Debate as a Domestic Extemporaneous Speaker. After high school, Kyle plans on pursuing a degree in Political Science with a minor in Journalism or Communications in the Washington, D.C. area. He feels very passionate about improving the world around him for the better.

Kaci Le

Kaci Le is a junior at Thomas R. Proctor High School in Utica, NY, graduating in 2020. She attended the Washington Journalism and Media Conference in 2018. The conference left a long-lasting impact on her. When she graduates, she aspires to be a part of the multimedia industry.

Ashton Matherly

Ashton Matherly is from Williamsburg, VA and attends Warhill High School. She is a varsity cheerleader at her school, and during her free time, she enjoys writing, cooking, and watching movies. Her favorite movie since third grade has been Remember The Titans, and her favorite movie director is Wes Anderson. She is also a fan of the Harry Potter books and identifies as a member of Slytherin house.

Grace Foltz

Grace Foltz is a senior at Salem Community High School in Salem, Illinois. She is a member of the National Honor Society, vice president of Tri Chi and Captain of the swim team. Grace loved her experience at WJMC this past summer. She has a passion for writing and editing. Grace enjoys traveling and meeting new people. She plans to study English and journalism in college after graduation.

Madison Bale

Madison Bale is a senior at Niceville High School in Niceville, Florida. She was born in Montreal, Quebec to a French-Canadian mother and an American father and grew up in Japan and all over the United States. Her interests are photography, singing/songwriting, guitar, and golf. She loves spending time volunteering at the community church with her girls middle school life group and singing in the band on Sundays. As editor of her high school’s yearbook, Madison is passionate about creating a book that her classmates can look back on with pride. She plans on attending Bishop’s University in Sherbrooke, Quebec to immerse herself in the culture of an English-Canadian school in a French speaking community and to pursue her undergrad in English Literature and then a master’s degree in journalism.
