Reese Riedel is a rising junior at Samuel Clemens High School and the vice president of her school’s broadcasting club, Clemens Broadcasting Network. An alumni of WJMC 2018, She plans to attend college for broadcast journalism and film. Reese Hopes to go into a career for documentary cinematography and reporting. Reese Riedel lives in Cibolo, Texas.
Becca Morgan is a high school senior from Caseville, Michigan. She attended WJMC in 2018 as member of the Maroon group. She credits the experience as prompting her to pursue journalism as a career. Becca currently plans to study journalism and literature in college, and hopes to pursue writing as a career.
Peyton Dauley is a junior in high school from Mashpee, Massachusetts. In 2018, she attended the Washington Journalism and Media Conference as a part of the Maroon group, and she is excited to help plan next year’s conference! Peyton hopes to be able to encourage writing careers for a new generation of Youth Correspondents, as WJMC did for her. Outside of school, she enjoys reading, writing, photography, and watching Netflix.
Davis Suppes is a senior at Park Hill High School in Kansas City, Missouri. He is the anchor for his school’s daily live-stream of the school announcements, and he has had a passion for journalism for some time. At wjmc he had the experience of a lifetime and enjoyed every minute of hanging out with new people and learning from so many prestigious workers in this field. Next year Davis plans to attend the University of Missouri to continue pursuing his passion for journalism, and he knows WJMC is going to help him along the way!
Sam Charles, a south Texas native, is incredibly excited to be a part of the Youth Advisory Board and help plan WJMC 2019. She’s an avid reader and writer of all things fiction. A drama kid at heart, she loves musicals and plays but prefers starring as the crew instead of being on stage. Most of all, Sam is an adventurer with a love of conquering her own fears.
Elise Ramacciotti currently lives in El Segundo, California. This year she started the El Segundo High School newspaper, The Bay Eagle, and is the Editor-in-Chief. She loves musical theater, and starred as Elle Woods in Legally Blonde the Musical this past spring. In her free time she likes to eat sushi and perform mini concerts in the car. She can not wait to participate in YAB and prepare for the upcoming summer!
Meleah York is a senior from Keller, Texas. They attended WJMC in 2018 and had a wonderful learning experience. Meleah keeps busy as the Editor-in-Chief of their school newspaper and a member of the marching band. Additionally, they enjoy spending time with family and friends, but they are also looking forward to leaving home for college. Meleah is very excited to be apart of making WJMC an amazing experience for future correspondents!
Hannah Hutter is currently a senior at Mt. Pleasant Area High School in Mt. Pleasant Pennsylvania. She attend the Washington Journalism and Media Conference in 2018. She plans on studying communications with a focus in broadcasting and journalism when she attends college. When Hannah is not spending her time being the Editor and Chief of the school newspaper, she is on her local stage performing in plays and musicals, or at a local newspaper, where she is currently employed writing obituaries and features. Hannah is beyond excited to be able to continue to be in the WJMC family by being on the Youth Advisory Board, she can’t wait to see what the future holds for the conference and all those who attend!
Avery is currently a senior at Greenfield School in Wilson, NC. She represented her school in 2018 at WJMC. In the future, she plans to pursue her interest in media and photography. She is an editor for her school’s yearbook, and her passions include photography and art. She is very excited to be a part of the expanding WJMC family and cannot wait to see what the future holds.
Cayla Cade is a senior at Bishop McNamara High School in Forestville, Maryland. She is currently an editor and staff writer for her school’s newspaper. Cayla will pursue Journalism as a major and public relations as a minor in college. She aspires to work in a magazine and eventually become a news anchor. In her free time, she love to longboard, dance, and play with her dogs.
