The Washington Journalism and Media Conference

BRITNEY CROWE

Faculty Advisor

This beautiful stationery came across my desk and I was compelled to apply for an adviser’s position at WJMC after nominating my students. Six years later, I’m continuing to come back to an anchor point in my life concerning journalism and professional skills and my growth as a mentor, teacher, co-worker, mother, and child of Christ. I am wrapping up my 27th year of teaching in Texas and I just distributed my 24th yearbook to a campus of 3000 students. My own children live near me in central Texas, but they are grown and living independently. My companions include two kitties and my plants. I enjoy travel, hiking, camping, new foods, and gathering stories from strangers.
