Ashlyn Sasser

ASHLYN SASSER

Sasser is a senior at Mid-Carolina High School in Prosperity, SC. She is part of the Cross Country team, Academic Challenge, and Student Council and serves the Newberry County Younglife group. She plans to major in Political Science and become a political correspondent in Washington, D.C. She enjoys writing, listening to music, shopping, and watching films.

Anne Yingling

ANNE YINGLING

Anne Yingling is a junior at State College Area High School in State College, Pennsylvania. She has served as a Page Editor of the Little Lion Yearbook for two years and was previously a member of the Lions’ Digest newspaper staff. As part of her school’s publications team, she attended the Columbia Scholastic Press Association annual conference in the spring of 2023 and 2024, and was also a 2024 state finalist in the Yearbook Captions category in the Pennsylvania School Press Association’s annual competition. In her free time, she can be found playing clarinet in the marching band and other ensembles, making digital art, and looking up countless inspirations for design. Anne vows to reunite with the lifelong friends she made during Session Two of WJMC 2024 via a comical interstate road trip, but only after pursuing public relations with a minor in graphic design post-high school graduation.

ASHLEY WONG

Ashley Wong attends Frankling High school in Los Angeles. She is a raising senior and attended WJMC in 2024. She is part of varsity tennis since her freshman year. She enjoyed listening to music and helping people.

Aria Lynn-Skov

ARIA LYNN-SKOV

Aria Lynn-Skov is a senior at South Eugene High School in Eugene, Oregon, where she is co-editor-in-chief of her school newspaper. She plans to pursue a career in investigative journalism, and is particularly interested in politics and foreign affairs. Outside of academics, Aria loves dance and music and can often be found reading historical fiction with her four cats. Aria’s WJMC experience was life-changing, and she’s excited to be a part of helping future correspondents have amazing experiences with the program.

Archer Dorry

ARCHER DORRY

Archer Dorry is a junior at Ortonville High School in Ortonville, Minnesota. He is involved in student council, Business Professionals of America, Lutheran Youth Organization, drama, and is serving as the president of his school’s choir. He is also the team manager for football, basketball, and softball. He had a great experience at WJMC in 2024 and is enthusiastic about serving on the Youth Advisory Board. After graduation, he aspires to work in the field of Political Journalism.

Angela Bediako

ANGELA BEDIAKO

Angela Bediako is a 16 year old junior at White Plains High School. She is a WJMC alumni who attended the conference last year. In her free time, Angela likes to read, draw, and play piano or guitar. Her favorite subject in school is art and she plans on majoring in political science in college.

Amaris Medina

AMARIS MEDINA

Amaris is a senior at Thomas Jefferson High School in Denver, Colorado. Her favorite things include cheerleading, watching baseball, and baking. Amaris is the Co-Editor-in-Chief of her school’s newspaper and a Senior Producer for their daily television show. WJMC was an unforgettable experience for Amaris and she can’t wait to make a difference on the advisory board.

Allison Golan

Allison Golan is a student and member of the yearbook staff at Grand Oaks High School in Texas and is set to graduate in 2026. In school, Allison is a part of the National Chinese Honor Society. In her free time, she enjoys reading, listening to music, and hanging out with her friends. Allison attended WJMC in 2024 and is excited to help with future conferences.

Abigail Haffke

ABIGAIL HAFFKE

Abigail (Abby) Haffke is a current senior at Shaker Heights High School who attended session one of WJMC 2024 (#bustalime). She is planning on attending university and majoring in government or legal studies, with a minor in journalism or communications. When Abby is not spending all her time doing her rigorous IB work, she enjoys listening to K-Pop and playing her violin. She had the best time of her life at WJMC 2024 and can not wait to serve on this advisory board.

Abigale Paterniti

ABIGALE PATERNITI

Abigale Paterniti is a junior at River Hill High School in Columbia, Maryland. She previously attended WJMC in the summer of 2024. She is the news editor for the River Hill Current, her school’s student-run newspaper, and Junior President of the National English Honor Society. After school, she enjoys dancing, reading, traveling, interviewing community members, and creating podcast episodes. Abi is excited to have the opportunity to shape the experience of next summer’s youth correspondents through her knowledge of her time at WJMC.
