Viola Quinto Armati

Viola Quinto is currently a high school junior, living in Amman, Jordan, but is originally from Italy. She attented the WJMC conference in 2019. She was previously involved in her high school newspaper as an editor and writer, and is currently in her school’s booster club which helps organize all school events.
She’s very excited to be a part of the youth advisory board and hopes to make WJMC 2020 as memorable for others as it was for her.

Kelley Matulevicus

Kelley Matulevicus is a high school senior from Woodstock, Georgia. She is a DECA club officer, a member of her high school NHS and Beta club and enjoys singing in her high school chorus. She would like to major in sports marketing or management with a minor in public relations or communication. She is a 3rd degree black belt in taekwondo and enjoys teaching tiny tigers at her schools dojo. She loves to travel with her family and watching sports.

Elleigh Lowery

Elleigh Lowery is a senior at Jessieville High School in Jessieville, AR. She is very involved in her school, including being on a runner-up state champion cheer team, being in many choir groups, and being secretary of her school’s beta club. She was a delegate for 2019 Arkansas Girls State. Aside from that, she loves driving around in her Honda CR-V bumping music (mainly Post Malone) with her friends, watching Marvel movies, and making Tik-Toks. She has vlogs on YouTube of her 2019 WJMC experience.

Abigail Lindsay

Abigail Lindsay is currently a senior at Carlisle High School and attended WJMC 2019 session 1(go green machine!). She is the co-editor in chief for Periscope, her school’s student news site, and is the production editor for the yearbook. Abigail has a love for journalism, Glee, and ice cream and she also enjoys getting to write creatively. Abigail loved her time at WJMC and left with a new passion for journalism, and she is excited to get to be a part of YAB.

Addison Kolzow

Addison Kolzow attended session one of WJMC 2019 and was a member of the yellow group. Addison is a junior at Bowling Green High School in Bowling Green, Kentucky. She is a pub editor and reporter on her school newspaper, the Purple Gem. She has a passion for journalism and hopes to pursue a career in business or law, and she believes WJMC helped her come closer to accomplishing that goal.

Peyton Keyes

Peyton Keyes is currently in hersenior year at Pineville Independent in Kentucky. She is the editor of the yearbook at herschool, and currently in the process of trying to create her school’s first ever newspaper. She attended WJMC in 2019 and it was the best experience of her life. She is so excited for the chance to influence other students the way the WJMC faculty and staff influenced hers.

Jasmine Kettles

Jasmine Kettles is from San Diego, California and is an honor roll student at Madison High School. She is also a member of the National Honor Society of High School Scholars and received a nomination for the Congress Global Award of Excellence, August 2019. She also attended WJMC during the summer of 2019. She is a starter for her school’s varsity volleyball and basketball teams and is bilingual in Spanish, a passionate writer and loves to travel.

Steven Hogencamp

Steven is a part of the class of 2021 at Oxford Academy in Cypress, California. Steven went to WJMC 2019 and it showed him how important journalism is in the world and the effect it has on people. At school, Steven is an active participant in Model United Nations, the school newspaper (The Gamut), and his varsity baseball team which he has been a part of since freshman year. After high school, Steven wishes to go to Arizona State and study Sports Journalism become a Sports Broadcaster when he grows up.

Phenix Halley

Phenix Halley is from Atlanta, GA and is a senior at Saint Margaret’s Boarding School for Girls in Tappahannock, VA. She has taken advantage of her school leadership positions, as she has been president of her class for two years, tour guide, desk assistant, RA and an active member of her school’s Student Government Association all while being a member of her school’s literary magazine and yearbook committee. With her current position as school photographer, Phenix is able to capture school events while fulfilling her passion for photography. In her free time, Phenix enjoys reading, riding her bike, listening to music, and watching her favorite show, “Friends.” Phenix plans to study journalism after graduating from high school.
