She attended WJMC in 2022 and was a Junior Faculty Advisor in 2025. As a WJMC Correspondent, Leila discovered her passion for journalism as another avenue for her writing and confirmed her decision to attend GMU, where she pursues journalism and has written articles for the university’s student-run newspaper, The Fourth Estate. Leila enjoys reading, writing, drawing, video games, and spending time with friends and family. She is excited to return for her second year as a JFA to help Correspondents have a good experience at the Washington Journalism and Media Conference.
