Miguel Salinas is a high school junior from Ponte Vedra, Florida. He attended the Washington Journalism and Media Conference the summer of 2025 and was deeply influenced by his experience there. Miguel is a film student in the International Baccalaureate program, and after attending WJMC he has decided to pursue journalism— he was inspired by speakers at the conference to join his school’s student newspaper as its social media video producer, writing and filming short-form style news reels.
