PAULINA LEVI
Paulina Levi is a senior at the Community School of Davidson High school in Huntersville, North Carolina who attended the Washington Journalism and Media Conference in 2022. She is the photographer and editor of her school’s newspaper and also an active member of key club and diversity club. She aspires to be a traveling photojournalist and lawmaker. In her free time, she plays lacrosse, travels, rock climbs, listens to music, spends time in nature, and creates ceramic pieces. Paulina is thrilled to be a part of the next chapter of WJMC so she can help guide and connect with the future journalists of the world.
NATHAN FERRARO
Nathan Ferraro is a junior at Armstrong Junior-Senior High School in Pittsburgh, PA. He is the co-editor of his school’s newspaper, The Hawks’ View, and president of the book club. He loves all aspects of English, from writing to reading, and his dream job is to become a political journalist. Through his high school, he partakes in band, taiko (Japanese drumming), LEO club, SADD club (Students Against Destructive Decisions), Key club, junior class cabinet, and SAGE club (Sexuality and Gender Education). He also plans to participate in Youngstown State University’s annual English Festival for his fifth year in a row in 2023. He is excited to be a part of the WJMC Youth Advisory Board so he can contribute to the program in order to help future attendees.
NATHAN COSTON
Nathan Coston is 17 years old and a part of the Huntingtown High School Class of 2023. He enjoys writing short stories about unconventional protagonists and playing Rogue-likes with his friends. He placed in the top 32% in the country for the National Leadership and Skills Conference 2022 Photography Competition and received the National African American Recognition from the College Board. He aspires to be an author and a creative director at a video game or television studio.
MORGAN LOFTUS
Morgan Loftus is a junior at Seneca High School in Tabernacle, New Jersey. She is an active member of the ADL, her school newspaper, the debate team, theater, and currently serves as the student advisor for her ASL club. Driven by a combined passion for music and journalism, Morgan hopes to work in the music industry and pursue music journalism. She attended WJMC in 2022 and is grateful to the program for helping encourage her goal of becoming a professional journalist. Morgan is thrilled to serve as a member of the YAB so she can help ensure that the future youth correspondents’ experiences at WJMC are as fulfilling as her’s was.
MITCHELL KAZMIERZAK
Mitchell Kazmierzak is a senior at Saint Joseph High School in South Bend, Indiana. He attended WJMC in 2022, where he made many lasting friendships and memories. He is a part of the News and Broadcasting class at his school and holds many leadership positions in Student Government, Student Ambassadors, Pastoral Ministry, and Spirit Club. Outside of school, Mitchell likes to volunteer at Christ Child Society and hang out with his friends. Mitchell is excited to share his passion for journalism with others who love the same thing and experience WJMC with future correspondents.

Miranda is a journalism student at Michigan State University whose passion is
reporting about music and entertainment. While focusing on written journalism,
she also has discovered a love for photography. Outside of school, she makes an
effort to stay involved in the world of journalism. Miranda contributes to Atwood
Magazine, Best Left Magazine, and is the co-founder of Righteous Reviews.

MICHAEL WILLIAMS
Michael Williams is a junior in high school who is very excited to be a part of WJMC’s Youth Advisory Board. Some of his most notable achievements include participating in several different youth advisory boards for KQED, The Hayward City Council, and the San Leandro School Site Council. He is currently enrolled in programs and clubs such as his school’s Business Academy, Debate club, and Ambassadorship/Leadership program.
MIA LIU
Mia Liu is a senior at Research Triangle High School in Durham, North Carolina. She has been the editor-in-chief of her school’s yearbook for three years and the secretary for their Quill and Scroll Honor society. Mia is the lead music director and announcer for her school’s radio station. She likes to listen to music, read, and write short stories in hher free time. She has also taken an interest in photography and hopes to pursue it in the future. She had the most excellent, eye-opening experience attending WJMC 2022 and hopes to create the same eexperience for future youth correspondents!
MCKENZIE PRATER
Mckenzie Prater is a current high school senior looking to go into the field of psychology. She is an avid reader and loves to do anything involving art. Mckenzie attended WJMC in the summer of 2022, in the lime group. She learned a lot during that summer and met people she will cherish throughout her life as well as opportunity’s and lessons to help her grow through her life.
