Kenzie Steffey

KENZIE STEFFEY

Kenzie is a rising senior at Abernathy High School in Abernathy, Texas. She is a member of National Honor Society and participates in her high school’s UIL speech and debate team, student council, FFA, Spanish Club, Marching Band, TAFE, and is a part of the Varsity Twirling Line. She plans on either getting a college degree in political science or journalism to prepare for a career as a lawyer or a reporter for Formula One Racing. Kenzie loves the color pink, Lewis Hamilton, and all songs by Phoebe Bridgers. She also loves getting to meet new people from all over the world and can’t wait for the excitement that WJMC 2025 will bring!

Kenaniah LaRose

KENANIAH LAROSE

Kenaniah LaRose is a junior at Klein Collins High in Spring, Texas. Her experience at WJMC ignited a passion for journalism and allowed her to make amazing friendships. She is a worship leader, student leader for her youth group, and an officer of her school’s Black Student Association. She is interested in political and video journalism. In her free time, Kenaniah enjoys reading, singing, creating content, and spending time with her friends and family!

Kelsie Johnson

KELSIE JOHNSON

Kelsie Johnson is currently a junior in Goldsboro, North Carolina. She is a member of DECA, colorguard, her school’s National Honor Society and her school’s volunteering club. She enjoys writing research papers, and loves investigative journalism. In her spare time she can be found reading, watching true crime, or spending time with her family.

Kelly Kalleberg

KELLY KALLEBERG

Kelly Kalleberg is a senior at Roxbury Central School in Roxbury, NY. She is currently the President of the National Honor Society: John C. Sweatman Chapter, as well as Student Council Vice President, and Treasurer of her school’s Athletic Club. She also plays girls varsity soccer and softball. After high school, Kelly plans on attending college to study Public Relations. During her free time, Kelly enjoys listening to music/attending concerts, baking, and spending time with her friends and family.

Kellen Flynn

KELLEN FLYNN

Kellen Flynn is a 17 year old journalist from Prince George’s County, Maryland with a (currently) primary focus on Arts & Entertainment. Due to their upbringing in an immediate family who often consumes and discusses music, their passion was cultivated, until they formed a music analysis club in High school and later went on to write for the Arts & Entertainment section of their newspaper. Having written columns about various music releases past and present, they’re focused on keeping their finger on the pulse of current media and spreading the word of any good and worthwhile releases. When not writing, you can find them carefully cultivating Spotify playlists, discussing film with their friends or playing Magic: The Gathering. Having had an enlightening experience about what their path in life was at the 2024 session of WJMC, and now looking forward to being able to take those lessons and put them into action, Kellen is eagerly awaiting viewing the results of their consultations and seeing how they can do for others what the program did for them.

Keelie Walker is a senior at Farmington High School in Arkansas. She to be with her friends and family. The week she spent at WJMC was the highlight of her summer. She loves business and journalism. Her favorite things are Hamilton the musical, Spider-Man, and crime tv shows.

Kalynn DeVito is thrilled to join the Youth Advisory Board (YAB) after an unforgettable week last summer with WJMC. The experience left a lasting impact on her, and she is eager to continue contributing to an organization that has meant so much to her. Kalynn looks forward to helping future participants make memories that will stay with them for a lifetime.

Joshua Tilor

JOSHUA TILOR

Joshua Tilor is a 16-year-old Haitian-American, born in Downtown Miami, FL and grew up in North Miami, FL. He’s very passionate high school student dedicated to covering the aspects of politics, law, and ministry. He is tirelessly engaged within his school community as class President at Monsignor Edward Pace High School, and is also part of different variety of clubs. He is also an athlete who did Track and Field for the 2024 season and still a member, and also did Cross Country for the first time in his high school career. He has been nicknamed “Pastor” because he is very big on his faith in God, and everyone has been enriched by this unique example that he has been able to shine towards those who have the same vision.

Jocelyn Hamilton

JOCELYN HAMILTON

Jocelyn Hamilton is a Senior in high school at Salina High School South in Salina, Kansas. Jocelyn runs the school newspaper, The Tripodium and is an editor for her school’s yearbook. She is an alumni of WJMC and went in 2024. Jocelyn has always been interested in Journalism and is planning on majoring in college at either Kansas State University or George Mason University in fall of 2025.

Jayden Broughton

JAYDEN BROUGHTON

Jayden is a junior at South Aiken High School in Aiken, SC, and is an alumni of WJMC 2024. He is an aspiring sports journalist, with goals of becoming a sports analyst or sports photographer/videographer. In his spare time, Jayden enjoys talking about and playing different sports, taking trips, and doing community service events within his community. He can’t wait to help make WJMC 2025 an amazing experience for students next year!
