KATLYNN DEVITO
Kalynn DeVito is thrilled to join the Youth Advisory Board (YAB) after an unforgettable week last summer with WJMC. The experience left a lasting impact on her, and she is eager to continue contributing to an organization that has meant so much to her. Kalynn looks forward to helping future participants make memories that will stay with them for a lifetime.
JOSHUA TILOR
Joshua Tilor is a 16-year-old Haitian-American, born in Downtown Miami, FL and grew up in North Miami, FL. He’s very passionate high school student dedicated to covering the aspects of politics, law, and ministry. He is tirelessly engaged within his school community as class President at Monsignor Edward Pace High School, and is also part of different variety of clubs. He is also an athlete who did Track and Field for the 2024 season and still a member, and also did Cross Country for the first time in his high school career. He has been nicknamed “Pastor” because he is very big on his faith in God, and everyone has been enriched by this unique example that he has been able to shine towards those who have the same vision.
JOCELYN HAMILTON
Jocelyn Hamilton is a Senior in high school at Salina High School South in Salina, Kansas. Jocelyn runs the school newspaper, The Tripodium and is an editor for her school’s yearbook. She is an alumni of WJMC and went in 2024. Jocelyn has always been interested in Journalism and is planning on majoring in college at either Kansas State University or George Mason University in fall of 2025.
JAYDEN BROUGHTON
Jayden is a junior at South Aiken High School in Aiken, SC, and is an alumni of WJMC 2024. He is an aspiring sports journalist, with goals of becoming a sports analyst or sports photographer/videographer. In his spare time, Jayden enjoys talking about and playing different sports, taking trips, and doing community service events within his community. He can’t wait to help make WJMC 2025 an amazing experience for students next year!
JASMINE TUCKER
Jasmine Tucker is a senior at Bowie High School in Bowie, Maryland. Jasmine is very involved in her community, as she is involved in multiple extracurricular activities inside and outside of school. Notably, she is working with her peers in Prince George’s County to produce the fifth season of the DREAM B.I.G. Podcast, which is a service team created by the L.E.E.P. To College Foundation. Jasmine has had a passion for oration and writing since she was young, and is looking forward to crafting an amazing experience for next year’s youth correspondents.
JAMYA HINTON
JaMya is a 17-year-old who resides in Prattville, Alabama, who has been passionate about art since she was young. In addition to her love for journalism, she enjoys baking and gaming in her free time. Currently involved in the beta club, art club, and yearbook staff at school, JaMya actively nurtures her creative mind. She aspires to share her unique visions with others through various forms of expression. Whether that be from her artworks or from her pictures, she works to share her love for the craft with many.
JADEN SMITH
Jaden “Jd” Smith is a junior at Cox Mill High School in Concord, North Carolina. He is pursuing his passion for sports journalism and environmental advocacy. As the Director of Articles for his school’s sports network and an alumnus of WJMC 2024 he is committed to storytelling. Beyond his academic pursuits, Jaden enjoys playing baseball, playing music and creative writing. His experience at WJMC was phenomenal, and he encourages future youth correspondents to seize this incredible opportunity to grow both personally and professionally.
JACK COGHLAN
Jack is a junior and a wjmc alumni. He is interested in going into pre-law in college and does photography in his freetime. Jack wanted to join the youth advisory board to come back to George Mason as he is pretty interested in the school.
HAYES DAVIS
Hayes Davis, a Junior at Roxboro Community School in Roxboro, North Carolina, attended the Washington Journalism and Media Conference in 2024. Hayes is a writer for his school’s section of the local newspaper, yearbook editor, and photographer. Hayes loves listening to music, running, and spending time at the beach. He is interested in majoring in journalism and public relations, and hopes to make WJMC even more enjoyable for the 2025 group of correspondents.
