Anna Fratarcangelo

ANNA FRATARCANGELO

Anna Isabella Fratarcangelo is a junior Literary Arts major at Appomattox Regional Governor’s School for the Arts and Technology in Petersburg, Virginia. She has received three Silver Keys in poetry from the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards, placed 2nd in the 2022-2023 Virginia High School League Nonfiction Contest, and has been a member of the Virginia High School League State Writing Champion Team. She has also served as the 2023-2024 managing editor for her school’s yearbook, as the 2023-2024 social media manager for two different clubs, and as a screenwriter for her school’s video announcement production team. But, overall, Bella is a 2023 alumnus who hopes to make the WJMC experiences of future Correspondents just as magical as hers!

Addison Stella

ADDISON STELLA

Addison Stella is a student at Morris Hills High School in New Jersey. She got to attend WJMC in July of 2023 and it was one of the most amazing things to happen. She is involved in her schools choir program and has a passion for sports/sports photography. In her free time she loves to read, spend time her family, and watch sports.

Brianna Bielat

BRIANNA BIELAT

Brianna is currently a senior at Anchor Bay High School, and she is the main face of Anchor Bays broadcast. She is a type one diabetic and has been a youth ambassador for 4 years. Brianna has a big love for sports and hopes to work on the journalism side of sports more in baseball and hockey. Brianna currently work at Jimmy John’s Field as a ticket taker. Brianna is also on the school bowling team and loves working with her teammates and coaching them.

Bruna Laurent

BRUNA LAURENT

Bruna Laurent was a National Youth Correspondent during the summer of 2022. That summer was filled with meeting influential speakers, visiting famous places around Washington, D.C., and forming a new bond within her color group. It rekindled her passion for journalism and politics, which she had always harbored. With her acceptance into the WJMC Youth Advisory board, she aspires to share the joy, fun, and learning environment she experienced alongside her fellow youth correspondents.

Skylar Yung

SKYLAR YUNG

Hailing from Davidson NC, Skylar has always had an interest in journalism. After doing broadcasting journalism in middle school and yearbook throughout highschool, she’s intending to major in journalism in college. In her free time, Skylar enjoys listening to K-pop and Mitski while she works on articles. With a life changing summer in WJMC 2023, Skylar is so excited to come back as an intern.

Shannon Bickert

SHANNON BICKERT

Shannon Bickert is an alumna of the 2023 WJMC. She is currently a senior at Phillipsburg High School in Phillipsburg, NJ where she is captain of the varsity bowling team, editor of the school newspaper, class executive officer, and a sports reporting intern. Shannon plans on attending a four-year university to study journalism and marketing. As a board member, she hopes to create an experience that engages and inspires the future of journalism.

Sean Langdon

SEAN LANGDON

Sean Langdon is a senior at Sebastian River HS in Florida, and he attended the Washington Journalism and Media Conference in July 2023. After he graduates he will be attending college and interested in studying journalism, law, and political science. This experience afforded him the opportunity to learn from professors, journalists, radio personalities and so much more. Sean is looking forward to sharing his experiences and being part of WJMC 2024 youth advisory board.

Olivia Hudson

OLIVIA HUDSON

Olivia is a senior at South Central High School in Ohio, where her days consist of college classes, singing, and laughing with her friends. She is a part of the school choir, an advanced singing group called Black and Gold, the school musicals, Academic Challenge, Varsity Softball, and SADD, as well as being the President of the Senior Class and National Honors Society. She loves to read and write, and has aspirations to become a published author. WJMC had a large impact on her, and she can’t wait to help bring the same experience to the next group of scholars!

Nicole Parker

NICOLE PARKER

Nicole Parker is currently a senior at Howard High School in Ellicott City, Maryland. She’s dedicated to her role as the editor-in-chief for her school’s newspaper, The Lion’s Tale which she has been a part of since her freshman year. Nicole is also an active member of Quill and Scroll. She has always had a passion for journalism from a young age, and plans to continue her studies in college. Outside of school, she loves to play softball, go to the gym, and listen to Taylor Swift. She is so excited to be part of the WJMC Youth Advisory Board.

Nicholas Myers

NICHOLAS MYERS

Nicholas Myers is a junior in high school and plans on becoming a journalist in the field of sports news and statistics when he is older. Nick lives in Harrisburg Pennsylvania and was a member of WJMC in 2023. His interests include running, travel, reading, and playing video games. Nick is also currently involved in his high schools TV news channel along with various other clubs and projects relating to journalism. Through this conference Nick has learned so many important things about the profession and about himself, and cannot wait to start getting involved with next years Youth Correspondents!
