Edna Rutland is a National Youth Correspondent from Macon, Georgia. She experienced her WJMC engagement during the summer of 2017 as a member of the “Blue Crew” (Blue Who). She is currently an 11th grade honor student and actively involved in school and community activities. She is a Youth Commissioner with the Georgia Civic Awareness Program for Students (GCAPS) and enjoys photography, traveling and acting in local theater. She plans to pursue a degree in journalism and become a Photo Journalist. Edna is convinced that WJMC was the best part of her summer and is looking forward to working with other correspondents in planning next year’s program. According to Edna, she wants other students to not just have the same experience she had, but to have an even better one!
