Katelyn Aluise

Katelyn Aluise attends Huntington High School in Huntington, West Virginia, where she is the president of the writer’s club that works with her school’s literary magazine (The HHS Digest). She is an active member of the Huntington High Speech and Debate Forensics team. In her free time, she participates in Huntington High’s marching band and reads quite a lot, as she is an avid believer that reading improves one’s writing, which is especially helpful in organizing works for the school’s magazine and speech-writing. Last year, Katelyn was nominated for a position as a Washington Journalism and Media Conference Youth Correspondent that piqued her existing interest in the liberal arts, as well as journalism. Her goal as a Youth Advisory Member is to ensure the same, if not a better experience for upcoming correspondents.
